Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an entry-level Infection Preventionist at IP&MA. Training to obtain Certification in Infection Control will be provided. The Infection Preventionist will be responsible for implementing and monitoring infection control protocols, analyzing data on infections, collaborating with healthcare staff, and developing strategies to prevent infections.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine infection risk assessments and surveillance
Assist in the development and implementation of infection prevention and control protocols
Educate staff on infection prevention best practices and regulatory standards
Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Analyze data related to infection trends and recommend corrective actions
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Public Health, Microbiology, Nursing, or a related field.
Foundational knowledge of microbiology and disease transmission
Familiarity with infection control principles and healthcare environments
Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Role Description
This is a part-time (24 hours / week) on-site role for an entry-level Infection Preventionist at IP&MA.
In this role, you will support the implementation and oversight of infection prevention practices in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience and grow under the guidance of seasoned experts in the field.
